 Richard A. Chazal, MD, FACC, FACP, FASE

 

A native of Florida, Dr. Chazal earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Florida before receiving his medical degree in 1977 from the University of South Florida, where he continued his internship and residency at the University of South Florida Medical Center.

 

After completing his training in internal medicine, Dr. Chazal completed a three-year fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. His areas of specialty are echocardiography and diagnostic cardiology, with a special interest in cardiology research.


 

 

 

 

Michael D. Danzig, MD, FACC

 

A summa cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College, Dr. Danzig received his medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine in 1970. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Yale-New Haven Hospital.

 

After serving three years in the United States Public Health Service, which included assignment to the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission in Hiroshima, Japan, Dr. Danzig completed a fellowship in cardiology at Georgetown University Hospital in 1978.

 

Dr. Danzig is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has been in private practice in Fort Myers since 1978. His specialized areas of interest are diagnostic cardiology and the clinical management of lipid disorders.


 

 

 

 

M. Erick Burton, MD, FACC

 

Dr. Burton is a cum laude graduate from Wake Forest University. He received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama Hospitals. He then returned to Emory University for fellowships in both cardiovascular diseases and cardiac electrophysiology.

 

Dr. Burton is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology as well as a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology. His specialized areas of interest are cardiac electrophysiology, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter/defibrillators, and radiofrequency catheter ablation of tachyarrhythmias.


 

 

 

 

Michael A. Corbellini, D.O.

 

 

Dr. Corbellini is originally from Long Island, NY. He earned his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Notre Dame. He then received his medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995. Following a general rotating internship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Allegheny University Hospital/Hahnemann in Philadelphia, PA. He then stayed on at Hahnemann University Hospital/Medical College of Pennsylvania, completing his Fellowship in Cardiology in 2002

 

Dr. Corbellini is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology, and a member of the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association, and the Lee County Medical Society. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. His capabilities include Consultative Cardiology, Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology/Stress testing and Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization.


 

 

 

 

Edward A. Palank, M.D., F.A.C.C.

 

Dr. Palank received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.  He completed a residency in Internal Medicine, a Fellowship in Cardiology, and a Cardiology Research Fellowship at New England Medical Center in Boston.

 

Dr. Palank has held academic faculty positions at both Harvard University and Tufts University.  He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.  Dr. Palank is also a member of the Board of Directors of the American College of Physician Executives.

 

Dr. Palank has held a variety of medical and administrative positions before joining the Heart Group.  He specializes in clinical and consultative cardiology.
